Visit to Davis College

Judy and I took Amanda to visit Davis College today (formerly Practical Bible College). Let me tell you, I was impressed. Impressed with the people of Davis. It’s a small school, about 300 students, located right here in Greater Binghamton. Rick Cramer, the VP of Student Development (and a good friend) rolled out the red carpet for us. We visited two classes, Western Civilization and Music Theory. We also spoke with Sheila Flipse, head of the counseling department program at Davis. And we spoke with Dr. Young from the music program. Both very professional and impressive people. We had a great lunch with Rick and his daughter Christina who is graduating this year with Amanda from CBCA. To top it off, the president of the student body gave us a personal tour of the campus. She is a senior, graduating from their counseling program. A very articulate and intelligent young lady. Seeing the kinds of people that Davis is turning out, including the assistant pastor of our church (and his wife), and others we know from Davis, is an indicator to me that they are doing something right. Amanda will be taking a close look at attending Davis come this Fall.
What do you think of Davis? Let me know in the comments below.

Davis College is a great place to go to college. I have just graduated from there in May. I am glad you enjoyed the campus. I have had the privilege of attending and serving on the campus.
