You’ve no doubt heard about Hillary Clinton’s less-than-stellar performance this past Tuesday night at the Democrat Presidential Debate hosted by the left-wing Democrat media organ known as MSNBC. But surprise! Tim Russet finally awoke from his lethargy and asked Hillary a tough question! Do you, or do you not support Governor Spitzer’s plan to grant drivers’ licenses to illegal aliens? (Note to Tim: Better watch your career bud, it’s about to take a nosedive. Don’t expect any returned phone calls from your Dem buddies to appear on Meet the Press anytime soon.)

Here’s the thing: This one question exposed Spitzer’s “plan” to the nation. And that’s a good thing. Yes, Hillary tried to say she was both for it and against it. Old news. What more would you expect from this (rather unintelligent) person? I’d say unintelligent “woman” but I’m not denigrating the gender, just the person. What I heard on talk radio over the next few days was sweet to my ears. What I heard was exactly what I’ve been writing about on this blog and in Press & Sun-Bulletin story comments. This is purely and simply about increasing the voting rolls of the Democrats in this state. It is about an insane, mad grab for power by Spitzer and his Democrat cronies. NOTHING ELSE MAKES SENSE. No other facts fit. Please, stop and think about it. This is manifestly NOT about safer roads because more people will get car insurance. Give me a break!

When drivers are granted a license, they are automatically given a registration form to vote under the Voter/Motor Act in New York. The form has a check box that you “swear under oath” you’re a U.S. citizen. But guess what? There’s no way to enforce it! No one will ask that person to show a Social Security card or birth certificate. This is the dirty little secret about this “policy change” by Governor Spitzer.

The overwhelming majority of New Yorkers are against this shameful policy, rightfully so. We are not anti-immigration. We are anti-ILLEGAL-immigration. Big difference. Hey, if you want to come to my country legally, and you want to work and not be a drain on my pocketbook (i.e., welfare, public healthcare, ANY kind of public assistance), the door is open as far as I’m concerned. Self-determined and hard working people made this country. If that’s your view too, come on in to the good ole U.S. of A. Our arms are open!

But if you slip across the border illegally–you’re a criminal. Plain and simple. And criminals don’t get special privileges. For the 2 or 3 hard lefties that still try to justify this policy, what evidence can you offer that the situation is anything other than what I’ve stated? I’d love to know. Leave me a comment.
