Broome County November 2007 Election – List of Races & Candidates
By Jim Willis on Oct 8, 2007 in Elections, Government & Politics | Printable Version
The list of races and candidates below is drawn from a PDF document posted on the Broome County Board of Elections website and is provided in what I hope is an easy-to-read and understand form. I’ve hyperlinked candidates names to their websites, for those who have a website that I could easily find. If you are aware of a website not listed, PLEASE email me the link at jim@rssbinghamton.com.
You can download a registration form and register by mail if you have not already done so. You can also find out what district you live in and where your polling place is located (although I have problems with the interactive version and cannot get it to work). I also recommend using the VOTE411.org website to locate your local polling place. It worked great for me. It is IMPERATIVE that you register and vote. We must not let the Citizen Action bunch be the only ones out there working hard to secure votes. Please! Register and vote. Your future depends on it.
Just an aside: It’s a shame there are Council seats in Binghamton where Democrats are running unopposed. Shame on the Republican Party for not fielding candidates in those races. I sincerely hope (and have great expectations) that Debbie Preston, the new Chairperson of the Broome County Republican Party, will change that in future elections.
