I won't hold his youth against him, but as you point out, no "real life" experience to speak of. Makes me wonder what a "community relations" person does, and what qualifies someone to do that job? Block graduated in 2006, so he has all of a year's worth of "real life" experience. One could justify someone with actual community relations experience for such a job, but to bring someone only a year removed from school is the height of arrogance and smacks of, as you said, "petulance."
